Dear Friends, Family, and Community:
You are cordially invited to a Project T.E.A.M. (To Establish A Masjid) fundraising dinner with special keynote speaker, Imam Dr. Wazir Ali of Houston,Texas. This special event will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 6:00-9:00 pm. It will be held at the Vital Link Event Center located on 1214 E. Lenoir Street in Raleigh, North Carolina. Our theme for the night is, “Building a Masjid for the Preservation of the Human Soul.”
We are seeking to identify individuals, families and communities who consider themselves progressive and who have an attitude of inclusivity to partner with and invest in As Salaam Islamic Center’s efforts to build stronger human bonds, preserve human dignity, promote freedom, justice, and equality. This new facility will be one of the bases to launch and promote our “Being Good Neighbor’s” initiative as well.
As Salaam Islamic Center of Raleigh is now poised to implement its building plans. We have raised nearly $300,000.00 and are asking your assistance in helping us to raise an additional $100,000.00. This will position us toward breaking ground and laying the foundation this year. Here is how you can help:
- Purchase a banquet ticket ($35 for adults & $15 for children 12 and under).
- Make a personal, family, or group pledge on the enclosed form.
- Go to www.assalaamic.org and make a pledge. Look for the word donation, and click on the link.
